Astrea snail issues

I have several snail species in my tank.
Turbos,trochus,astrea,nasarrius
I have no issues with them usually but recently my astrea snail are dying off.
I have kept them since I started with no issues.
Only thing was a small phosphate issue which I put in a reactor
I had an outbreak and used flucanazole.
I can't see why these things would affect it.
So I bought some astrea today and I floated the bag and acclimate did the water for over 20 min
They were all alive and then within half hour half were dead.
If everything else is testing within ok limits, all my other snails are ok
Should I just give up on this specie?
I feel cruel to just keep replacing knowing I am a death god to astrea
Any hints?

Honestly, I've had really poor luck with astrea snails. I have a good handful of nassarius and my strawberry conch that have stayed healthy and hearty. I gave up on the astrea after losing my second or third batch. I have one live astrea left. My hermits seem to have gotten the most out of this situation. A free meal and a new home haha!

Astraea snails can't right themselves. If they topple over and you don't flip them they die. They also make good hermit crab food.

When you say acclimate, did you float then drip, float and drip, float only, drip only.
Astrea snails must be acclimated very slowly, both temp and Salinity are critical.
If they died within half and hour, they were either not acclimatized accurately, or long enough. If they are the only thing that dies in your tank, it's not the water
Always make sure once acclimatized, you place them foot down and let them attach.

My hermit crabs flip astraea snails that topple over :). A nice service from animals that are generally accused of killing snails :D.

Yes
I float
Drip
Float
Drip etc
I put them in so they can get a grip
When I see them flipped I right them
I feel a bit better knowing some people can’t keep them successfully
I feel awful knowing I may have caused their demise with acclimation because I do in fact try to do that with all my inverts
I guess I will stay away and stick with trochus
I’ve had my turbos for over 2 years so I know I’m ok with them, but I only have 3 for my 57g and that’s enough
Thanks all
