At my wits end

Hello

So a couple of weeks ago I shredded a anemone and the tank got extremely cloudy. I tried to fish most the bits out and attached a hob filter to catch most the rubbish. Now I noticed yesterday all my fish acting odd and tested parameters seemed fine. Today tested and ammonia was through the roof. Also my damsel died this morning. I removed my two clown and put them in a bucket with the hob filter and heater.

Not sure I did the right thing any tips?

Cheers
Tony

I would make a 100% water change, run carbon or replace the carbon you already have in the tank and then watch the ammonia for a day. If it is still elevated you are going to need to let it cycle before you can reintroduce the fish.
