Atapsia survival

I've got some nice rock pieces that I'd like to use in my new tank but it's infested with aitapsia. I know that I'll lose all the good stuff on the Rock and I'm ok with that but how long does the aitapsia survive on rock out of the water... I'd like to dry the rock and nuke this pest once and for all. It doesn't go dormant or anything does it? Could I freeze the rocks outside?

Lots of things you could do. snuff them out with Kalk, coral putty, bleach water and dry if you don't care about the bacteria or coralline dying. Peppermint shrimp will eat them- they worked for me. Ive heard pulling them or joes juice will just make them spread.

I've got one of these being shipped today and will be here tomorrow :D

I'd put the rock in a container with a bleach/water solution if it will fit. Bleach should totally eradicate it and becomes inert on its own after a few days in the open.

I took a torch lighter to some that were on rocks I was transferring from the old tank to the new one, so far looks like I got all but one, and I'm burying it in the sand to die there.
