ATI 6x39 Sunpower vs It2080 led

Looking to buy one of these units tonight and am having a hard time deciding which direction to go with. I want to run sps and I know the t5 are proven so that's what I'm leaning towards. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

I absolutely love my ATI. It is much stronger than I anticipated with the 8-bulbs. Had to raise it to acclimate the corals.

T5 all the way with LEDs its an insane combo. careful on the ATI t5s. THey are powerful as hell. mine is literally 12in from the tank and its still burning corals and its a 24in 6 bulb combo on a 40 breeder.
 
Just picked up a 36 inch 6x39 unit locally from Craigslist for $350 with new bulbs couldn't pass up the deal, It's going to be mounted to my 57 rimless. Now to get supplemental LEDs...
 
40gal breeder with x4 T5 ATI SunPower does great with SPS. (6) bulbs, you have to be careful with, like Hyperion says, they're ubber strong!
Only downside is replacing the bulbs at $80 every 8 months :(
 
yeah gotta replace mine soon. But to restate, be super careful. THey are really powerful, acclimated sps in the corners and edges and still managed to burn a few...
 
thats what i did.easy install with the brackets provided and great look.
two of my six bulbs are out on my ati and its stll plenty of light.(new ballast in my closet waiting to be installed)
 
i bought the small led moonlights that you can attach to each other and attached them to the screen on top of my tank with small zip ties and stick on wiring harnesses that came with omething i had
 
I use the ati fixture with Ecoxotic stunners for LED and its a great combo. the reefbrites are a bit more powerful but I was able to spread out the stunner strips for better coverage and the ati has enough par anyway. Also since they are not that strong and spread out there are less shadows and I basically can run them as moon lights.
 
there just in the canopy under the ati fixture. my canopy I built myself and it has sliders that the ati fixtures sit on so I put them on the underside of the slider mounting brace. they go off an hour before and after the actinics. They look great when combined with the atinic lights but with an 8 bulb fixture they get overpowered in full light.
 
SunPower with (4) 39w ATI over a 40Gal Breeder, plenty bright for SPS. Even have to be careful with it being too intense.
