So I just received my ati 8 bulb fixture and I was wondering if you guys can post what bulbs you're running and in what order from front to rear. I'm mainly going to try and keep some sps, lps, etc.. Is there a downside to not putting any Coral Plus bulbs? Do you have to run those bulbs in your fixture or that's all personal preference?

First, why do you want to avoid the Coral Plus?
Second, do you like a bluer or whiter tank?
5 Blue Plus, 2 Coral Plus and 1 Purple Plus looks really good. Or switch one Blue Plus for an Actinic. I'd even try 4 Blue Plus, 2 Actinic and 2 Coral Plus. Just depends on what color you're shooting for

I'm looking for a bluer tank but with a hint of white I guess. I already have 2 coral plus bulbs that I had ordered but the tank looks way too white for my taste.

You've got 4 daylight bulbs so that makes sense. I'd pull a Purple for a Blue Plus to start with

i do agree, coral plus bulbs are very bright and your fixture isn't a dimmable. switch one coral out for a blue and i bet you'll be exactly where you want to be.
Which bulbs are considered daylight bulbs? The coral plus and which one else? I replaced the coral plus bulbs with Fiji purple since I had back ups from my giesemann fixture and it does seem a little bit bluer but not that much.
I'll order another 1-2 more blue plus bulbs and see where I put them. The actinic is fine where it's at correct?

Few would call it a 20k tank. The coral+ and purple+ are both powerful and everyone is shocked I have so much blue, because it doesn't look it
Also have two 48" XHO Reefbrites all blue. Still isn't a blue tank
