ATI dimmable fixture question

I plan on buying the 8 bulb T5 24" dimmable fixture, I currently have LED and when I had T5 I liked the coverage, color and growth of my SPS, with LED the LPS seem to pop even better as well as the Zoa and Paly- therefore id like best of both worlds..

Since I currently own 2 LED arrays at 39w each- 2 channel 13 LEd's per array, I was thinking of removing the center 2 bulbs of the fixture and fitting the arrays in- however questions are:

*Will removal of the 2 bulbs cause problems on the firing of the other bulbs?

*Will the wattage consumed by the fixture still be the same as running 8 bulbs or will it only consume 6 bulb wattage?

I'd like to have the option of either only running 6 bulb t5 fixture or 8 bulb fixture since cost diff on 2 more bulbs is not that much. Just in case i dont like the LED look once added to the fixture...thats why im going with the 8 bulb. The fixture will go over a std 60 gal cube 24x24x24 center overflow and I have a mixed SPS and LPS reef.
Any help is appreciated.

Since I already have the parts and LED arrays I was thinking of adding this myself.... another reason is just in case I don't like the led's I could just remove them and insert the other 2 bulbs.

You may need to rewire if they are not already on the same ballast, I am not sure if the ATI ballast will fire with only one bulb hooked up. An old fixture I had required two bulbs for a ballast to fire.

I would unhook the power input to the ballast you are not using. It should not use much, if any, energy without bulbs but I would personally prefer to not have electricity going to empty sockets from a safety standpoint at least.
