Atlanta anyone?

Is anyone going to and from Atlanta any time soon???

I really need something from Ikea (for Christmas) but I can't see making a 7.5 hour round trip to pick up a chest of drawers.

So if anyone happens to be going there and wants to help me out in a major way, I would be very appreciative. I would also help pay for some of your gas.

Geoff Pettit goes back and forth fairly often... Might try calling him as he doesn't check here too much...

Ahhh...good idea. I doubt that it would fit into his car though (having seen his car once when he picked me up after seeing me on the side of the road because my scooter ran out of gas).

The two boxes are kind of long.

Randy...are there any Ikeas on your way up north, which I'm sure you're traveling to over the holidays? *hint hint*

You don't want to pay the gas for me to drive my truck to CT... It would definately offset any savings you get from buying Ikea... ;)

I'm in SERF right now, trying to keep working until 4pm when I can go to Tyson Park and pick up my race day packet for tomorrow.

You're working about as much as I'm studying Accounting... ;) At least tomorrow is going to be warmer than today... I have to work... :(

It's not going to be warmer than today at eight friggin' thirty in the morning. It's going to be 19 DEGREES!

Well... It won't be snowing then... lol It will be colder up on the plateau where I'm working... ;)

Yeah, BUT...aren't you going to be near some big firey forge thing...and NOT running 9.3 miles?

Nah... Just trims for me tomorrow... Besides, I mostly cold shoe... I only have to bring my forge when I need to do customized shoes or fits...

Hey Mel I will probably go to ATL again before christmas. Let me know how long the boxes are and I will see if they will fit behind the kids in the suburban. I think there is one off I-85 somewhere north of 285. We can work out me getting it up to ya.

Let me know if your interested

Frenchy ~ Take the seats out and put the kids on top of the boxes... They won't mind... ;)

awesome Patrick! I will look it up and let you know. It's two long boxes, both of which fit in my Cherokee, but I had to put one through the two front seats and it was touching the hatchback as well. So I would say the boxes would definitely fit in a Suburban.

I'll get exact dimensions and PM you.

If it ends up being too inconvenient then you can just let me know and I will understand.

I hope they are under 6'. I will take out the back seat but the kids will be in the first row. Find out the size and weight of the boxes. Push come to shove and I could put them on the roof rack and strap them down. Just let me know and we will work it out.

lol, I am actually in ATL right now. But my infiniti is pretty small, if you can find the measurements of the boxes maybe i can help you out. just lemme know melly. I will be here until friday, possibly sunday.

Thanks!

Patrick and I worked it out for mid-January actually.

I really appreciate the offer though!
