atlantic blue tang compatability

hello there,

We have a juvenile atlantic blue tang(, Acanthurus coeruleus)around the size of a quarter, it started out a little bigger than a nickel.

I have read that certain tangs can be kept together as long as they are from a different family.

will a tomini tang (Ctenochaetus tominiensis) be compatible

if not what other smaller tangs may get along with the Atlantic blue

the atlantic blue gets very territorial/aggressive when it gets older. I would house it by itself.

It might have been okay had you placed the Tomini in first

I don't have a Tomini Tang, but I do have an Atlantic Blue Tang that is about 3" big. Since yours is still very small, I don't think that you should have a problem with adding a TT. I have a Purple, Yellow and Regal Tangs that are a little larger than the ABT and there are no problems between all of them.

My ABT is just starting to change it's colours now. It's pretty neat to see this process.
