Anyone keeping Atlantic blue tang seen three in the lfs put a deposit on one ive never seen them before nice fish

I had one once, my old 55 sprang a leak during the night. I guess you can see where this is going. Very sad day

I had one yrs ago. Great fish and really neat to watch it grow from juvenile yellow to the adult blue coloration. Ours was a very sociable fish and ate out of my hand all the time.

I have one, he is a great fish, thats him on the left,(forgive the blurriness it was taken on my iphone x[ ) Hes a very nice fish we got him from a a friend who collects, sometimes he bosses my orange shoulder around even though he is smaller, if you do get one, I would recommend making sure that he is the smallest, cause he can get a bit fisty, he will sometimes try to show my Dussumieri tang around, lol but shes much bigger then him:D

I've had one and it was a great fish. As others said, it can be a fighter. I hope that Achilles in your avatar isn't in your tank because you might have some issues when you try to add the atlantic blue. I also hope your tank is huge, the atlantic blue gets big.

Great fish. When I got mine, even tho was still a juv, it had the blue adult colors. After a few weeks in my tank, it went back to the yellow juv color. I've had it a little over a yr now.

Mine was a fighter, smallest tang in the tank and he's the boss! They all get along good now. He will eat anything. Beauitful blue in color

They get really big and can be bullies. I saw two in a LFS that were very large, beautiful fish when they are adults.

Thanks for the replies he will be going in with a purple tang achillies tang and a Dussumieri tang

What size tank? Footprint? Most public aquariums I've been to keep atlantic blue tangs in their humungo displays and they are just massive. SOOO thick. lol

Years ago I had a 3" yellow juvi that grew into a 7" blue beauty after 6 years and it would still flash lt gray/yellow when it got upset at the other tangs. It was a good hearty fish and I think I only paid $35 for it at the lfs...

They are one of the underrated tangs in my opinion, and they do require a large tank. I guess I would hope/assume if you already have an achilles & duss you have an appropriately sized tank.

the tank is 750l including sump my achilies tang will keep him in check hes the boss in the tank and the purple is next
