Atlantic Blue!

I have carefully chosen my fish those far. The Atlantic Blue is my next purchase. Id like to get the AB a small juve so I can experience it's lifecycle. What should I look for in an Atlantic Blue? Are there any companies out there that I should order from?

There are so many factors you should stick to trying local stores as size, color, stripes vary widely on these fish.

Where do you live? There is a small juvi at the LFS near me.

I am in Greensburg PA I found one online with low shipping that is a sponsor of our forums but they say due to the hurricanes it has been difficult to obtain a small juvenile. I think I am naive to think that they grew these fish in a farm somewhere.

LA shows both a small and med juvenile in stock and they are of course forum sponsors here.

You catch Atlantic Blue Tangs off the coast of NC?

Yes, during certain times of the year, I have found these beautiful fish. I assume they ride the stream up north during the summer.

I have a house in Kure Beach, NC and I have be fortunate enough to find many Atlantic Tropicals, and Invasive species as well. I have only seen a few Juvenile Blue Tangs, but there are tons of adults.

Sorry to sidetrack the thread, but here are some of the NC Lionfish I have eaten. There are even little tiny juveniles in the waterway during the summer. These adults were shot about 10 miles offshore.

NC is positioned perfectly, we get the best of the south and the north!
