Atlantis Aquarium

Just came back from a cruise and got a few photos from Atlantis resort's aquarium.

Amazing place, I didn't get all good shots but here are some basic point & shoot photos.

We rented a scooter and went to the far side of the island. A beautiful beach and the water is incredible.

This is part of one of their main tanks. The resort is one massive fish aquarium. Sadly, no reef.

They had a couple jelly tanks. This guy had amazing colors (poor photo quality).

I love Paradise Island. The whole island in general is really nice. Did you guys by any chance eat at the Fish Market on Nassua Island. That place on the weekend is nuts with really good and cheap food.

I love that place. The fiance and I went there for Christmas 2 years ago. I just remember sitting at the swim up bar, well I remember some of it, stay at an all included hotel, you mean all I have to do is sign the $200 bar tab.....lol. It is soo nice down there. Next we want to go to The Galapagos Islands.

sweet place...Ive been wanting to go there. thanks for the pics! also, thanks again for the cheato, growing like wildfire.

Thanks guys, we enjoyed Nassau & Paradise Island. It is nice to get away from the states sometimes.

The family is taking a cruise down there this summer. My husband wanted to go on the Atlantis Hotel tour. It will be like $300 for the family. I'm not discounting your pictures, but for the price it will cost us just to see fish....is it really worth it? I mean we have annual passes to Sea World and it looks like Sea World offers more than Atlantis.

I would rather go diving like we did last time, but we will have the kids. I think I'm going to strap a rope to my 9 year old and pull her along and at least take us all snorkeling in some of the bays and lagoons. I saw stingrays, shallow water reefs, and all kinds of stuff the last cruise.

My husband wants to say he's "been there, done that" as far as Atlantis goes. I was disappointed to find out it was just fish

Yeah, I was suprised to not find any coral tanks. It's in the carribean!!! You can strap a mask on 20 feet from where the resort is and find native corals.

For $300 I wouldn't go. Honestly Nassau was a very dirty Island too. I'm glad I went but I won't take any more trips to Nassau. I enjoyed Jamacia, Cozumel, Labadi & the Virgin Islands so much more than Nassau.

Cast away Key (cay) was really really cool though.

Atlantis is really cool, but if I had to pony up $300 I'd rather just go snorkeling on an excursion instead. You'll see more and get to interact with more (though one guy in a trip we took got sick on the boat and made everyone else queasy)...

I only wish I knew about reefs back when we went, I was clueless! Now I need to go since I know corals and fish!

For the price I really enjoyed seeing the aquarium over in Tampa, and mote marine labratory in sarasota is really cool too. Money better spent on day trips with the fam, I think.

Now if you were staying there it would be convenient but ouch I just couldn't bring myself to pay so much for a tour!

They do have some pretty big portions of their huge tanks that you can see for free.

I haven't been impressed with Nassau itself either.
