i basically bought the ato system from aquahub.com. my question is how can i set up the float switches so the water level stays between them in stead of using them as a primary and a back-up?

according to their directions the float switches are to be set up in series. i'm just rusty on my electrical wiring, as i haven't done too much since high school ( a loooooong time ago)

hope someone here can give me a hand.

you can't get the water level to stay between them. the lowest one will always dictate when the pump turns on. just set the lower switch to were you want the water level.

There's a way to do it... in this setup, the bottom one would turn the pump on the and top one would turn the pump off. By setting it up like this, you will lose the back-up feature. I see no reason for doing this unless you're hooking it up to a RO/DI.
