Ato not keeping up,

So I have a JBJ ato with a toms Aqua lifter pump. It's not keeping up with the water evaporation. I come home from work and it says the pump should be on but it's not running long enough to fill my return section. It's a 6x18 area of my sump. What kind of pumps do you run with your ato's?

You can adjust the time the pump runs by removing the four screws and take apart the jbj auto unit. You sure theres no leak anywhere? Evaporation should be a slow process so your pump should be fine. How long does the pump run for? I think from the factory, JBJ has it set for 3 minutes.
Personally, I run a cheap aquatop pump I had laying around that pushes 80gph as my ATO pump. I have a 40 breeder with an eshopps rs100 as a sump. 5 gallon reservoir lasts 6 days for me.

Was happening to me to ever since I switched to an aqualifter for ATO pump. Thought I would have to get a new ATO so thanks for saving me some cash

My ato pump on the 125 is a 185 eco pump I had from an old project.
