ATO suggestions for 16g Nuvo?

My last tank was a brand name NanoCube and was completely enclosed so there was literally, never a need to top off. This one's completely open (much better design, no overheating issues) but I've never had an ATO system before and need one now. If I go away for the weekend and return, I'm down almost a gallon of water. And, because the water level in the back is always fluctuating, I can't keep the protein skimmer back there at the right level.
Thoughts for a good ATO with fixtures that would fit in the back area? It's about the same size area as the NanoCube or BioCube. I looked online and see there are some with sensors (the JBJ one) and ones with floats. I'd prefer not to have a float because it's visible. Thanks for the advice!

I've had the tunze osmolators on almost all my tanks. Good units.

It's expensive but it's a great unit. The jbj ato is a decent unit too, but it's a float valve so might take up bit more space in the back compartment.
