Would it be Okay to have the ATO connected directly to the RODI maker which would put water directly into the sump? Or should there be a holding tank that would be used to fill the sump and the RODI would fill the holding tank.

I set mine up, a separate 5 gallon container food grade. This way if the ATO float fails, it doesn't keep pumping, water into the sump and floods the room

I fill the water from a 32G container in the garage where the RODI fills that container, and one the same size for my salt mix

I'm still in the build for my 120, but this is the plan for me

I would not recommend this configuration. I know that turning on and off the rodi for small amounts of water can quickly burn out the membranes.

you will need a separate holding container. Having the rodi directly connected to a float means making rodi water in very small increments. This results in VERY poor performance from the rodi. put it into a separate container with an upper and lower limit so that it makes at least a couple of gallons at a time.
