What are you guys using as for your ATO system. I dont have an ATO system and its getting quite annoying topping of my tank by myself. I was thinking about getting a JBJ or one from autotopoff.com from what I have seen both of those have great reviews. Does anyone have personal experience with either or?

I had s cheap eBay one that pump failed after a couple months. Now have the jbj ato. Happy so far, but keep seeing it is supposed to have an audible alert but have yet to hear it.

I believe Eddie aka aquamane has the autotopoff.com model. You could ask him :)

Mine is complicated ;) and runs off my apex. I've heard good things about autotopoff.com though

I think that is the one I am going to go with. The only bad thing I have found so far is those who dont have the double switch have had problems with overflowing. Obviously I will not make that mistake and get the double switch.

I have an Elos Osmocontroller for sale $55. Only used for a few months on a qt tank. It's the older model with the float switch. Works fine once you get it dialed in.

I love my tunze I'm running on my main tank.

I use same as eddie. autotopoff.com It did get stuck once in 2 years because I never cleaned it.

But.....The emergency second float switch quickly stopped the issue. I would buy a second one without hesitation.

I just set up the jbj. It's a little cleaner looking than the autotopoff. Com one I used to have. Seems good so far.

I decided to go with autotopoff.com at this point I just want something to control my water lever and I'll just run that for a few months until I'm able to afford a tunze or something similar.

a lot of people go with the autotopoff.com also ....I use my litermeter III for top off, water changes, rodi replenishment just another option ....if I were to go with a different one I also like the Avast and dont think you could go wrong with the tunze either...

I've also used an autotopoff.com setup for years without any issues. If one was on a limited budget, this is the way to go in my book.

Liter Meter 3 with back up float valve module. 15 years plus, ZERO failure. Because it's a peristaltic pump, it can never back siphone. Because it uses air pressure switch as a back up, it can never stay in "stuck" like a mechanical float valve. Because you can program the amount in volume it can dose in 24hrs, it will never overdose. Because you can calibrate it once its in position, it is extremely precise. It IS pricey but you make your money back the first time it saves your tank. Because the parts are durable and the unit is easily serviced, it can last almost a lifetime. I have a friend who still uses the original Liter Meter I, still going strong after 15 plus years as well.
