Attaching a Monti Cap

Hi everyone,
I just bought a green monti cap frag from a lfs. At first i set it on a rock hoping it would grow over time. I come home one day and it was leaning on another coral where it recieved some damage from it. Whats the best way to attach this coral so it stays put and grows ? Thanks!

Just use some super glue gel and mount it on any rock that you want. Of course you will want to take the rock out of the water when you put glue on it, then put the monti on the glue and set it back in the water.

use reef putty, or better still:

cap frag + frag glue + reef putty + frag glue onto LR
ditto

gel + planning

Can't ephasize that last bit enough, caps are known to grow quite large and shadow quite a bit of real estate, so if you mount it high, be prepared to have shadows on everything under it.

In my opinion it's best if you mount where you can have access to it if there was a problem such as monti-eating nudi's.
