Attaching corals/frags underwater?

Hey all. I'm attaching stuff to what seems like every piece of exposed rock - even to the glass in a few instances, and am not psyched with the way its going.

The deltec epoxy I have works well BUT is not "sticky" at all. I can't just glue stuff and let it go, I have to support it for 24 hrs , etc. I'm looking for a similiar approach to what I'd get with super glue gel, only underwater. Goop it- hold it for a few - let it go.

Does anyone have any tips??

Thanks, Lonnie. I can't get crazy glue to work underwater. It films over before I can attach it to the rock, and then doesnt stick.

Need more tips, please....

Epoxy will not stick to glass or anything. It's meant to be pressed into crevasses.

You cannot glue underwater, it just doesn't work. Unless you empty the whole tube and even then it's near impossible.

Maybe what you can do is get a small pice of rubble or Tonga branch and take the coral out, dry the rubble and the coral, superglue them togehter, let them dry, then jam the rubble or branch into some LR and use the epoxy to build up around the join and hold them together? More like clay than glue.

Hmmm. Cannot? Must be a way. Has anybody used plumbers goop or silicone adhesive underwater? Seems poisonous.

Was it over when the German's bombed pearl harbor?

NO! And it ain't over now....

I tell ya this, I hope I never need to take this apart, because its all gonna be glued/epoxied/ziptied into one giant piece. I am NEVER moving.

ps. its starting to look good. I'll post some pics later.

Can you post a picture of what you're mounting and where?

That's two... want to try for three?

Next one that crosses the line earns a time out.

Good one chuck. Quagmire rulez! Dude, remove that picture before you get a warning.;)

Just post the damn pictures of the live rock and coral, effer!

I've successfully used a 2 part plumbers epoxy to glue some live rock together. It set up after holding it in place for about 3 minutes and after 24 hours the rocks that I glued would have to be chiseled apart.
