Attaching / mounting streams

Hey guys,

Does anyone have any picstures of innovative ways to mount their streams.

I don't particularly like the rock things, the ends of my tank are built in so magnets won't work - I've tried the brackets that link onto the lip of the aquarium, and found them pretty flimsey.....

does anyone have a different approach?

My new tank is empty at the moment. I have 2 no. streams (teh non-controllable ones) and will probably be getting another couple before long, so if I need to make provisions while the tank is dry, then now is the time!

Thanks

MAtt

I am not sure how your tank is designed, do you have any photos of the trim? In my photo gallery I have pics of assembled brackets on Oceanic brand aquariums.

thanks revtiko - I'll take a few pics of I can fid the camera.

The tank has a 1.5" brace all along the front / back. It then has 4 no. 4.5" brances running front to back - two of which are touching stuck to the end panels! This makes it difficult to mount anything really.

How thick are the magnets - I think I saw a pic in your gallery - they look pretty thin. There will be about 20mm (3/4") gap down each side of the tank - would the exterior section of the magnet slid down this gap?

Thanks,

Matt

thanks rvitko - I had been under the impression they would be somewhat chunkier. They are a little costly, but would seem to be the idea solution in this case.

Would you reccomend them? Do you find they hold the pumps in place? Would there be a stronger grip than say a algae magnet? I suppose if left undisturbed, the coraline will grow all around it and "root" it in place.

Thanks again,

Matt
