attaching mushroom

Yes, it should get enough light through the glass in the front. I guess a better way to say it is to push it againt the glass with a rock. Sandwich it between the glass and the rock.

Lol. Sorry that sounded funny.
Ok so then the outcome of that will be that the mushroom will attach to the rock that is squishing it against the window?
Won't the mushroom attempt to close itself when the lights aren't on?
Sorry for all the newby questions! >_<

I use pieces of old stocking. It's sheer so lets light through, stretchy and it just grips to the rocks. Just stretch it over the mushroom where you want it to stick.

I recently re-aquascaped my 120 gal reef, added new lighting, powerheads, sandbed, auto top-off, some new fish and corals. I love mushrooms but have lost several large, well established colonies in this rebuilding process. While I have read that mushies do not require special feeding to get them to flourish and that some folks regret adding them to their tanks because they "take over" a tank, I have never had their "unfortunate" experience. Any tips from anyone about nurturing mushrooms would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would also like to know if super glue will work for mushrooms. I just tried it a few hours ago without reading any advice about it first. Will it be there tomorrow?

I think glue will work for a day or two, but if they don't like the placement they'll eventually manage to release. If it's not being blown around, it'll still be there.
