Attaching PVC to a maxijet

I want to use a maxijet with my DIY calcium reactor. Can I glue PVC to it using standard PVC cement?

You have to use the cleaner and then the RED all purpose cement.

let's see some pics

This is exactly what I used to attach a maxi jet 600 to CPVC. Make sure the fit is snug...

Purple is a cleaner. The other stuff is specific: PVC or CPVC only. The pumps are made out of something else and this stuff works for them...

The Red stuff is "ALL PURPOSE" so it can be used on both. :D

Tell them man, tell them!!!

BTW: If you are trying to connect a MJ then it is easyer to use CPVC. To connect the inlet for the MJ to 1/2 CPVC all you have to do is expand the intake by 1/16 or shave the CPVC down 1/16. To connect the outlet of the MJ to CPVC you simply drill the CPVC out with a 1/2" bit.

If you are unsure of what I just posted shoot me a PM with your # and I'll give you a call.

Mike, I should have a couple cans of the cleaner and cement (all purpose). If Home depot or Lowes are out of your way you can swing by and get it.

Thanks. I may already have some since I have enough PVC and associated doo-dads to open up my own plumbing supply store.

If not, I'll get some at Lowe's when I go there to pick up a shim-cutting tool. :)

Thanks for commenting on this. I actually am still working on the Kalk reactor you were giving me some advice on (almost a month ago now.) and connecting the MJ pump has been holding me up.
