MTRC members,

Whoever currently has the club fish trap please shoot me a PM so I can get that from you ASAP. That is the last of the club equipment that has not been accounted for and we need to gather everything to see the condition it is in to see what has to be replaced and so that I may draw up some new rules and guidelines for using club equipment.

I know this has always been an on going issue with members trying to use something and nobody knows who has it or even members that had no idea club equipment was available for them to use.

This is something that is going to change very soon and just to give everyone a heads up we (better yet I) will be a lot more strict with how this all works because this has been a club perk that not many members have been able to take advantage of at all.

In case any member out there is wondering what equipment the club has available and also to clear up any misconceptions of what we do have this is what we currently have:

1 Par Meter (I have to get it checked out because it seems to be broken, not physically but the readings are all over the place)
6 Suction Cups
1 Large Fishtrap

Also as some of you might already know by reading the meeting notes on the MTRC website we are also looking into getting more equipment that members will find useful.

I will keep everyone posted as soon as I get everything together. :thumbsup:
 
I do not think it was accounted for officially... At the meeting at Andy's house I donated a power meter to measure energy consumption for a device. I am not sure who walked off with it?
 
Michael I had no idea about the power meter and had never even heard anything about it.

I will check with Andy to see if he might remember.

Things that have been donated (such as the fish trap and the power meter you donated) by members to me have more importance than what we bought because it was'nt your intention for the power meter to be for just one person to use, you donated it for the whole club to use.

This is the kind of thing that could discourage people from donating to the club with the thought that it will never be passed around as it should be.

Hopefully whoever has these items will get in touch with me so we can get everything together.

If any of you know who might have one of these items let me know and I will ask around.

I think those things just walk off by themselves. I bought one about a year ago and used it on a couple of things and then it just disappeared. I finally had to get another because I couldn't find it.
 
Yes we do still have the drill bits. Proud you brought it up Sean. I will turn those over to Mike this weekend too with the suction cups.

Thanks guys and I hope it does work out. At least we can add the drill bits to the things we have available.

Hopefully someone will step up and return both the Fish Trap and the power meter as well. I dont want to get to mid april and still be looking around for stuff.

It's gonna be hard though cause Rhett says he never even saw the Fish Trap and probably not the power meter either so I have nothing to go by cause he didnt either.
 
I never had either of those items in my possession to keep up with. I guess when they were donated they got passed along to other club members but I was never informed on where they were.
 
The power meter was brought to my house last June for the meeting and Mike donated it then. I will look for it when I get home from the hospital..if it was not taken from my house by Rhett it may have made it inot my Box of timers..I ahve several digital and analog timers. Keep your fingers crossed.
 
As Andy stated, I never handed it to commonstranger in an official capacity so the fault lies on me if it is gone. Fortunately if Andy can not find it, it is not a critical or expensive item. :)

Ok I found it. It was in my timer box with the Xmas lights. Wish I knew it was here as I would have used it!! Lol
 
Sweet!!... Now we just need to get our hands on the trap and we'll be whole again.

Like I mentioned before if you remember seeing it at anyone's house let me know and I can start asking around for it.

This is turning out alot better than I would have thought :dance:

I like the positive attitude Mike... Please share your thoughts as soon as you can on how to keep it that way. ;)

as soon as I get it all clear I will let everyone know and hopefully we will never have these issues again.

Hopefully we will draw up something good enough for future members of the board to continue using to keep the equipment in check.
