Attention Vertex Skimmer Owners

Hi guy's, contemplating purchasing the Vertex Omega 150 for my 200 litre cube.
Would appreciate your opinions and experiences with this skimmer.
Thanks

200L I believe that is just over 50 Gal. so I would say it would be too large as some are using the 150 on 200 + gal systems. I would say look at the 130 or SRO 1000 ( Reef Octopus ).

That is a big skimmer on a 50 gallon tank. I have one on my 120 gallon tank and then I added bio pellets and it handled in the increase with ease.

Check into the Aqua Maxx S Co-1

I have a 130 on my heavily stocked 30 cube and I think it's too big, skims inconsistently - it would probably be more than enough for a 50g aquarium

The only problem that people have regarding vertex skimmers is they use them on too small of a tank. If you follow their guidelines for sizes they skim pretty decent compared to other manufacturers. If not they skim very inconsistent and that is when people have problems, just my opinion. The 150 is way too big for a 50 gallon tank.

I have one on my 120 as well and am very happy with it. As said, probably too big for a 50gal. Not unless your sump is another 100 gallons or so.;) Go smaller if you can. Skimmer will run more consistent for you.

It's a great skimmer , Loved mine . It is a bit overkill you will have to deal with ULN in you setup takes about a week to settle in.
