Just noticed a small chip on the outside edge of the front panel where it overlaps an end panel of my 75g. It is maybe a 1/4 inch x 1/8 inch. Looking for opinions on the chance it

Sorry, I would have fixed all the images but I was on mobile and got called away. Anyway, looks like you figured it out.

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about that chip. It doesn't look big enough to worry about, and I've seen tanks with much deeper chips that were never an issue. That said, it really comes down to your appetite for risk.

You said you just noticed it though. Is this a new tank or did that chip recently happen?

Recent, sometime in the last couple weeks. Is there anything that could fill it to reduce the risk? I have zero appetite for 75 gal of saltwater on my floor. :-)

Thanks for the help.

Agree with Tang Salad - it's shallow and on the outer edge, so it's not affecting the integrity of the joint. There doesn't appear to be any hairline cracks radiating from it that would indicate further spread.

Filling it won't do a thing for the integrity of the tank and probably won't make it look better, either, so I would just leave it. Or use it as an excuse to upgrade to a 120! :p
