Hi Jeremy, can you send the other kit out this week and place a return lable in the box, with the R.A. #?
thanx, john m...:)

Reference to "Seachem kit" thread.

JOhn,

The test kit is currently backordered, but I have it set up to ship out to you as soon as it comes in.

Thanks,
Jeremy

thank you for letting me know about the B-O. i recieved the other kit on the 2nd. (UPS called, couldnt find address) i have the same problem with this kit also. can you check one you have instock? and see if Seachem has sent you bad kits. IMO, i believe thats the source of the problem. it took 5 drops instead 1 to achieve the (usual) blue color. and after 10 mL of the Alkalinity Tritrant the color did not change. i bought a $8.99 Hagen kit and it registered 3.8, both test kits were used simultainiously.
Thanx, John M. :)

zero. after one drop of TAI and 10 mL of titrant, the water remains clear. if i add 5 drops of TAI and 10mL of titrant its very faint yellow but not enough to get a reading. thanx, john.

hi Jeremy, im unable to call during those hours. i go to work at 5:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. Mon. - Sat. have you received the return package? along with the letter I wrote? thanx,
JDM...

2-12-07 we had an agreement to replace a bad kit. i received another bad kit. i sent both of them back to the return lable attached. just courious, when will PA reimburse me for these two kits? thanx,
JDM...

P.S. its getting around 3 months now since the first order, and 3-4 weeks since i returned the two bad kits. we need to settle this please. thanx,
JDM...

Hi John,

Sorry for the delay, however keep in mind that the kits were not received until last week, however the agreement was made on 2/12, so it hasn't been a month and a half since we have set on them.

I just tested both kits, and found both of them to be accurate. They both registered just over 1200, while my Salifert kit was reading at 1220.

I can send one back at no charge, however we are unable to refund both of them since they have been used. I had to use some Mg titrant from another kit to test with, as it looks like you did not send these bottles back. I will have the one kit that is most complete that you sent back out the door for you today, in which you should have in just two days. If you have any questions when using the kit feel free to drop me an email or give me a call and I"d be happy to walk you through it.

Thanks,
Jeremy

the ALK in both kits is the one that isnt measuring at all. not the Mg. the Mg worked fine. i dont want either kit back, i would like a 100% refund. i found the bottle and will return it to you, "haste makes waste" i was rushing to get to UPS before they closed and didnt realize the bottle was left out until i returned. sorry bout that. how am i supposed to check the Alk without using the kit?
February 12- March 27 is about a month and a half. the kits were returned the very next day iafter i recieved them due to the fact the ALKALINITY TEST did not read at all per dirrections. i have used Seachem kits for over a year and fully understand how they work.
John...

kit was ordered 1/22/07 per P.A. invoice. billed to my card, 1/25/07. statement reads: "Premium Aquatics debit, 1/25/07, # 317-895-9005 IN"
if you will kindly reveiw the beginning of this post, it was 24 degrees for over two weeks here when the kit was sent out without any heat pads or insulation other than loosly packaged brown paper. this would lead me to believe the kits were frozen and became unusable due to those facts. that is why i am asking for a full refund. i have another kit and dont need anymore. thanx for the offer to return one of them. i will not be here to accept it, so now it will sit in 84-86 degree weather until i get home at 6:35 P.M., and it will be returned to sender as "refused".
JDM...

sorry Jeremy, the first post has been deleted, where the 24 degree weather was mentioned as a factor in the bad kit results. but if you think about it, if my Alk was above 10 mEq/L, everything would be dead and Instant Ocean would be receiving a bill for roughly $5,000.00+ (dead tank) for bad salt mix. and there would have been no discussion of the kit, for that reason alone. thanx,
JDM...:)

Jeremy, IMO, youre not personally liable for the kit being bad. i think its a Seachem problem. i also feel you should return the kits to them for a refund or credit to P.A. acct.
Thanx,
JDM...:)

please accept my appology and read the second post ive sent you. thanx,
JDM......:p

BTW, i will accept the kit youre sending out. and agree to pay for the one kit only. thanx again.
JDM...
