I have had my Aussie Tusk for four days now and he is doing great! He has been eating mussels on the half shell, large shrimp pieces, and New Life Spectrum Pellets (well soaked)..I can't wait to put him in my 180 after his QT period.

They are usually more plentiful in the summer; but it seems that LA/DD has them all year now. Watch the weekly sales at LA, they often have these guys at a great price and the LA variety is the same fish---without the pampering DD fish receive. My tusks are LA fish and magnificent.

+1...IMO, no need to spend the extra DD money for the Aussey Tusk...mine from LA, came in perfect!

DD has been putting up juvie H. Tusk that would be cool to keep. Friday they had a juvie 2.25" for 99 bucks too.

I must have missed this. For $99, I'll bet the farm it was an Indo-Pacific Tusk, not an Australian.
