I recently got a better lighting system for the tank as I don't think my older lights (which were attached to the lids) were sufficient enough for my BTA. The new lighting is a long bar of LEDs, which leave about 80% of the tank not covered, so evaporation is definitely affecting the tank a lot more. Since the tank is in my room, the small waterfall my filter makes can make it difficult to sleep; but I noticed its almost completely silent if I keep my water level high. What I'm trying to get to is that I really think I need a top off system and if anyone more experienced then I could recommend a brand/system it would be very helpful. Thank you in advance

the tunze osmolator seems to be the more popular choice due to its reliability. I've ran mine for over 2 years with out an issue and it was purchased used so it well beyond the 2 year mark.

Autoaqua Smart ATO Micro is what I run in my BC32 LED, and I wouldn't switch it for the world.

I love my JBJ ATO. Cheaper than Tunze but proven to work (Provided to make sure the salt doesn't lock up the floats every 8-10 months).

Do you have a sump?
With a sump the smaller return pump area allows smaller amounts of water to effect the water level in that section more so less water is lost between the sensors high and low points.. When monitoring a large area quite a lot more water is lost so its important to choose a sensor with a small high/low range or adjustability for that..

I use the Tunze Osmolator. It was one of the first things I bought because the evaporation makes the tank a bit unstable. I have been using it for over 6 months now and love it. I fill it with RODI water about once a week as I also have a huge evaporation problem.
