OK, sorry if this is in the wrong place but I know that SPSers probably implement surge devices the most so... my question is, how do you set up an auto top off when the water in the tank/sump is surging and fluxuating so drastically?
What Ive done is use an electric float switch set at the lowest position the water level is within the sump. Every time the head tank is full (lowest sump water level) , and you need to "top off", the float switch send signal to a pump to fill untill the level is reached. Never had a problem with this.............assumeing you keep the float switch clean.
My present sump (w/ surge) is being top'd off with a metering pump.
