Auto top off

I'm getting ready to buy a auto top off unit,For my 150 gallon tank. I'm trying to decide between a jbj or Hydor unit. What do you recommend and why? Thanks for your help everyone.

I got an avast marine ATO that is compatible with the reefkeeper. A+ product and not your ordinary float switch

I have the jbj on my small tank and it is terrible. The pump runs for 9 seconds no matter what.


Auto top off.com on my large tank and it is amazing keeps the water level constant and only fills until the float switch trips back off.

It doesn't get a lot of love, but I use the AutoAqua Smart ATO and it has been terrific. About 5 minutes to set it up and just clean the sensor every couple months. Just another opinion/option.

Get ya a double float switch setup, use an old pump. Done.
