I want to use an auto top off system for my tank to replace evaporated water. But I have no room for any type of reservoir. But I can run a line from my spectrapure RO\DI unit directly to the sump, and there is even a drain near the unit for the waste water. My question is first off is it possible to top off the tank using no reservoir? Second what solution would stop the RO\DI unit for producing waste water non stop. Is there an easy solution?

I have read that artical and it refers to float switch`s like a kent float valve hooked direct to a ro/di that is a disaster waiting to happen top off controllers come a long way with many safety feature`s that make them perfectly safe to use i use a oceanus top off and i will know if something is wrong even if i`m not home via page and there is many more safety feature`s that do not rely on 1 malfunction but 2 or 3 at the exact same time odds are millions to 1 i`m sure.
