Matt was putting together a kit for the group about a year ago and had a full list of what was needed. I believe he even picked up some switches and circuits. I'd give him a couple days to chime in.. it was a simple setup with overflow switch as well.
Guy does not seem bright and has no safty, but the idea works if you do it right. Mainly using strippers instead of a razor. You can also make sure the splice is done properly and waterproof.
They sit in my display tank and control a peristaltic pump (AquaMedic SP3000, I believe) thats mounted inside the stand. Its fed via a 5 gallon container of limewater.
Peristaltic pumps have the dual advantage of not burning out when run dry, and they have a slow flow rate which is good for adding limewater into the display.
