Auto Top Up Not Working - Optical Sensor

Hello,

My ATO is not working, just wondering if I need to fix something in the settings or not?

I am just using ATO with an optical sensor (mounted horizontally).

Now when I pull the sensor out of the sump to test if it will turn on the pump, it doesn't.

My ATO pump is assigned to socket 2, Water 1 as per instructions.

It will not turn on unless I go into socket functions and manually override it.

It is plugged into Level Sensor 1&2 above the temp probe.

Any help please?

Hi Matt, my settings are pretty much the same as yours and no probs with operation. Maybe check to see that the probe is plug into the correct outlet ... easy to get it into the wrong socket if it is not plainly visible.

Definitely the right socket mate.

Getting desperate now, this should be an easy installation. Try resetting the Profilux and see if it picks up the settings on the reboot.

In your screen capture, the sensor is on it's "X" state. If you didn't invert its input, it's touching water. What happen when you lift the sensor out of the water, does the state change?

Yeah, that's why it's not doing anything. Do you happen to have another optical sensor or a float sensor? Maybe you have a bad sensor.

This has happened to me a few times- once, the sensor was not fully secured to the unit, it was slightly loose. Try cleaning the contact.

Another time, I just did not have the mini pump plugged in. Good luck.

I have mine on "water fill(ATO)", do you have that option to try?, what version of profilux control are you using?

OK, are you using a splitter?? If so is it an original GHL one?

Since the OP never mentioned what was wrong. I'll go ahead and post the answer. If you look at his first post with screenshots the OP had the timer function for the ATO. I was told he removed it and everything worked.
