Automated Controllers

Can anyone recommend good aquarium controllers? Originally I was looking for a heating and cooling.

Then I read more about the Premium Aquatics lighthouse and the aquacontroller and may go with one of those.

have an aquacontrolled III pro. absolutely love it.

Its probably overkill though, and the cheapest model they offer would be just fine.

Temp Controller

Temp Controller

I have an American Marine Pinpoint Duel Temp Controller. It operates my Chiller and Heaters. It has worked very accurately for the last year that I have had it installed. I also use an Aqualogic single temp controller on another tank that I have. Also works well. They may only package it though. It looks like a RANCO control to me. Another option like Justin mentioned is the Nepture Systems III or III Pro. Both are more money but with alot more features. I have been considering the Neptune III, I like the fact that you can download the reading like Temp, Ph, ORP and it record and chart. Kind of nice to diagnose a problem with tread data.

If I decide to spend the money I may go with the lighthouse from Premium Aquatics. It can be hooked up to the web for about the same price as the ACjr. and alot less than the III.

Hey dex; thanks again for the frags! They are all doing well...

The thing I like about the Lighthouse is the web server for 300; The AC 3 or 3 pro are the only other controllers that have the web interface.

For the most part it is not nearly as customizable as the AC or reef keeper but I am actually only looking for a temp controller. Like everything else in the hobby if I am willing to spend 150 on a dual stage temp controller why not 300 to control my lights and give me web access too.
