Automatic Feeder

I have one of those automatic feeders that goes off twice a day. It only takes flake and pellets though. The problem is that every time it goes into the water, it just floats, and the overflow instantly sucks it up. Any ideas / input to get the food to sink so that the powerheads can blow them around?

you can get the floating thinggy that sell at any pets store, it suppose to hold the food in 1 place. or you can get the sinking pellet or turn off the pump.

I forgot what it\'s call...but look online.

they have pellets that sink at pretty much what ever speed you might want them to now-a-days, from bacteria single cell splitting SLOW, to near light speed fast... the marine sinking pellet is nothing new to the LFS... go and ask and they can point you in the direction of about 5-6 different types of sinking pellets and foods... the floater ring can also be found at your LFS for pretty cheap... but if you have the pellets the ring would be un-necessary and a waste of your time and money for something that you would just end up tossing next to your sump (like mine), unless you have picky feeders, then it might be a good idea... in other words..."Choose Wisely" :p
