I finaly decided on a skimmer so I picked the Peg Leg. Since it was Christmas my mother got my the skimmer kit as a gift from my daughters . Justin from Avast was great to deal with , we talked and I explained the deal since it was 2 days before christmas. Justin made sure I got it before christmas . A+++ to him . Any ways here my take on the skimmer.

Here is the kit right out of the box

Any updates? I am interested in this skimmer and am curious as to how you think it has performed the last month.

Chadfarmer...curious why you say to take the return out of the water...what differences does it make?

I am new to saltwater...and looking for all the info/help I can get.

I built this skimmer a few weeks ago...was a great kit, fun to build and seems to be working great. Took a solid two weeks to really get broke in for me.

Does the return line out of the water make it more tolerant of water levels in the sump? Mine is very sensitive...

Thanks,
eric
