Avast Skimmer with recirc increase tank size?

When you add the new recirc mod to the avast skimmer does it allow for use on larger systems beyond the recommended 200gal?

Not really. The recirc mod allows finer control of water throughput, but the max capacity is still basically the same. If anything, it allows the skimmer to work better on smaller tanks (< 75gal) since the flowrate and dwell time (inversely proportional) can be adjusted down into the 50-75gph range.

The Swabbie neck cleaner will boost the max capacity up since it helps keep the skimmer producing consistently. I'd say 250gal max with it installed.
