Avatar question

I can't get my pic down to the required byte size. I have PS and sized it at 150x115 pixels, (1.6 x 2 inches at 72 DPI). I even saved it in JPEG with 1 for quality and it still says it's too big. What am I missing?

You can try posting your picture in the "lounge" there are a few people that hang out there that are good at resizing pictures.

File -> Save for web, it'll tell ya the approx file size as you choose the quality...
