Things are spectacular....life is approaching normal again.
The first 3 months of being over here saw me staying at a total of 6 places. That was more then I expected due to the 3rd place I was staying involving a crazy (literally) landlord. However, after much craziness, I am now so freaking excited to be in my house.
The house is a 3 bedroom detached house that I am renting on the west side of High Wycombe (a city) in a little village called Downley. It is in the county of Buckinghamshire (with the -shire pronounced SHERR, btw, not SHIRE, learned that from my mockishly amused friends at work).
I have been collecting free house stuff from freecycle, having collected some really nice furniture and just about everything we need that we did not pack to bring ship over. As you may have noticed, I even got a free fish tank (woohoo!) which I am excited to begin setting up. I picked up the tank tonight.
Yesterday evening I visited the home of a member of the
West London Reef Club (poke your head over in their forum and say hi

) who graciously gave me a small pile (about 15-20 pounds of dead live rock that had been sitting in his garden (back yard) in a bucket for a while. That plus some live rock and I'll be setup for rock to start out with. He also gave me some salt and an old hydrometer and a half bag of leftover sand. Freebies are good as I don't want my wife to kill me first thing when she gets over here for spending money on fish stuff.
Speaking of the wife, we just got the email today that the visas for the wife & kiddos have been granted by the British embassy in Los Angeles and are on their way to Ardmore. After they arrive and I get paid at the end of the month, I will by 4 expensive plane tickets and they'll be over here finally... WOOHOOOOO!
So anyhow, life is good. It's freaking awesome over here. But I am sad to miss
The CRASE...
Cheers to all. Happy reefing.....
