I was reading through this thread (page 3) and noticed that awesome power center he was using to organize and control all the electrical equipment. I searched the label name and found that Guitar Center carries them locally.
I thought this was so cool, and just had to share it. It was only $29.95, and I love it. A flick of a switch and I can turn things on and off! No more unplugging haha :D
You can get a cheaper one from Chauvet here.

I can attempt to get a picture from the back, but it might be a little tricky. It's just like a normal multi-outlet extension cord.
I've sure you could take the back panel off and hardwire it.

I recall 8Ball had some strips like that before. I thought that he had it mounted in its own stand with a controller. I am afraid to mount a power strip inside my tank stand. My fan above the sump keeps the atmosphere rather damp in there.

I'm really not too worried about the humidity and salt exposure, i've seen MUCH more dangerous things wired under people's stand haha.
I was actually surprised how well it was built. It seems to be sealed very well, and the outlets are really tight fitting so plugs are sealed well, also. i've got a sheet of scrap acrylic covering part of my sump.

I hadn't seen that on melev's until now... boy I wish I had enough room to build my own electrical panel....

I figure the same thing... I use one of those Dymo Printers to label the switches...

By the way, very nice Mandarin!

Yep I've got a few of those around. Your going to want to take it apart and check all the conections though.. They are built very cheap.. Not that bad but I would aleast give the internals a quick check. Here is a couple of shots of them. I rewired one of mine to work with my AquaController. I have since replaced these since the people that bought my old stand and canopy wanted the Control box also. But I have some new ones of the same model.. Ebay has them pretty cheap. They are ment to be used with DJ lights and equipment. They are rated for 15amps and are fused.
