AWWW Two of my tangs may have ich

I realized yesterday that my hippo tang had some big white dont not like ich well today he still has it but more my kole hippo eye tang has small white dots that im thinking ich. WHAT should I do does anyone have treatment i can buy PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

get a QT set up, no sand, no rocks, but some big PVC pipe to give some protection to fish, maybe a UV sterilizer? cleaner shrimp?

I would do that but one problem I cant catch them too much rock and to big of a tank. It there a treatment that I cant put into my reef tank.

Have you recently made any changes to the system?? Added new fish or other live stock?? Changed equipment or lighting?

Feed heavy, skim heavy, do water changes, run a UV or ozone. Make sure all your params are good. A healthy, well fed fish, in a stress free environment can often fight off ick...

Unfortunately Fiziksgeek is right, your better off to remove the stress and let the fish fight off ick themselves, and you will need to run your UV or ozone more to help the fish out when the ick is in the free swimming stage. Don't waste your money on the stop ick med for reef tanks, just wasting your money. If the ick becomes very bad, then you will have to trap your fish and QT them, and then treat with meds/hypo.

One Word:

Garlic!

I add garlic extreme (kent I think) to my frozen food and soak my dried algae (Julian's sea veggies). It works. I usually add garlic every other week as a precautionary method or more when I see a spot. I also keep cleaner shrimp and cleaner wrasse (not red sea!!!)

As my friends can attest, I love my tangs.

I'm able to keep Achilles, powder blue, purple, hippo, yellow and sailfin without UV or meds.

Keep the stress levels down, water chemistry constant (I have had constantly bad water in the past with no ich) and they should get over the visible infection on their own.

That's my .02

Okay 2 days ago I did a 40gallon water change.
I run ozone 24/7
I feed every 3 days (should it be more)
Those two fish that have ich are the ones i just added the the new guys in the tank.

use garlic it works and you should use it every time if not 3 to 4 times a week get a garlic press and add it when you feed your fish it works great and keeps them happy. do some research its for real

No offense, but you don't have to buy Garlic Xtreme (I know Kent doesn't like me saying this) ... make your own. What I do is soak my food (flakes, pellets, beef heart, etc.) in a cup of warm water with lots of garlic. You can use the bottled garlic for this.

Now for your problem with your fish being sick, you need something stronger than the bottled stuff. Get some fresh garlic and crush it up. You have less than an hour to add this to the tank before the strength weakens. Treat every day for a week with the fresh stuff (or until one day after the spots go away ... which ever is longer). Then do what the others have said with the bottled garlic.

I would definitly increase feeding. How would you feel if you only ate once every three days. In the ocean fish graze all day, I feed my fish three times a day. And NEVER had an outbreak of anything. Spectrum Thera-A pellets in Morning, Formula 2 Pellets when I get home frome work and frozen cube at night. And a sheet of Nori every other day, FAT Healthy fish.
