Baby octopus hitchhikers

My TBS has been in about 5 weeks now and just tonight I found 15 baby octopus, a little smaller than a pencil eraser. I guess their eggs where somewhere in the rock or something. They are very neat looking. Any ideas on what to do with them or any info about them and if one of their parents is still hiding somewhere? Thanks.

Thats the problem with tbs beatiful rock but you always get more than you bargain for! No octopus in my kaelini filled aquarium! Your pretty lucky if thats all the hitchikers you get!

Most octopus die after reproduction, that is the parents. They hav very short life spans of only about a year for tropical species. They will canibalize if in the same tank togather, so unless u want 15 seperate aquariums try to sell or trade them to your LFS.

I would love to post some pics but don't have the means. If this link works, mine look like a tiny version of this picture

By the way I counted 20+ tonight and that's with several squirting back into the rock. My LFS seems pretty interested in them, but my wife is trying to get me set up a tank for one. No idea how to do that. Anyone know how many of these little guys I can expect? By the way I love my TBS rock. Just another neat surprise from them.
