baby sea urchin?

I have what seems to be a small (1/4 inch) sea urchin in the tank.
It has a black and greenish colored body with opaque spins. I just broke out the flash light and looked in the tank. At night is when I find new things crawling around. I didn't now that these guys could just pop up in the tank. Here's the best pic I could get.

Awesome little urchin. How long have you had your rock. Maybe it has been hiding in the LR the entire time :eek2:

I found another 2 of them in the tank. I've had the LR for 6 to 7 months now. I have several baby starfish and a ton of amphipods, as well as isopods.

I bet that is where the urchins came from too.

I got live rock from tampa bay a few yrs ago and baby urchins popped out all over also. Mine were just the black ones but so small at first I did'nt know what they were either lol.

WOW cute! they must be great when they are small like that, when they get bigger they are clumsy and knock stuff over all the time.
