you must be sooooo proud, well done you.

do you cull your babies? i am going to be setting up my seahorse tank in a month (after many months of reading) and on seahorse.org and other sites they say to cull the very small fry which are too small to take bbs so you have better sucess rates.

i dont want to/wont cull perfectly healthy animals, so i will be culturing photo and zoo plankton to sustain the smaller fry aswell as bbs

Also i have read you can over feed bbs to the effect that although the babies are surrounded by food, they can starve to death as they dont properly digest the bbs and pass them back out whole.

how many feeds do you do a day and at what rates?

i really want my babies to survive
Not sure what you mean by cull.
I feed 4-6 times a day when they are first born. I feed only bbs. I have a small strainer to get only the live bbs and not the shells from the hatchery. I do daily water changes since the nursery only has an airstone with a sponge on it. After the bbs are 24 hours old I enrich them. At about 3 weeks I start introducing cyclopeeze in with the bbs at every feeding. I put it in first and wait about 10 minutes and then give them the bbs.
I have had luck so far with them eating well right out of the gate

I am now struggling with getting everyone enough food. I have been feeding them 3 times a day. In the past week I have lost 1 bangaii and 5 seahorses. I started giving them vitamins in their food every day to see if this would help. Today is tank cleaning day so I'll try to snap some updated pics once the tank is clean.
