baby snail

found a baby snail today in my tank on my glass. very very tiny. Its got a cone shaped shell on it.. like a certh im guessing? i only have turbos and astreas in my tank.. could this have came from my live rock? does anyone know if it gets bigger? sorry no pic to small. Thanks for any help.

my guess would be Pyramid snails. they will hitch hike with the LR. if they are you will want to get them out ASAP! heres a good link on hitch hikers http://www.xtalworld.com/Aquarium/hitchfaq.htm

It could also be a Rissoa snail. Without microscpoic examination, they look darn near identical. Rissoa snails are actually good detrivores. They aren't very often seen by most hobbyists because they are so small and don't cause trouble.

hmm.. they kind of look like pyramid snails but not that white. there more of a dirty brown color.. but that would explain why alot of my snails are dieing...

Peppermint snail perhaps? pretty common, move pretty darn fast too

yah i think its a peppermint..
thanks for the help, it does move pretty fast for being so small
