Baby snails?!

I have 25 astrea snails in my 55gal... I just was looking around today and there was a bunch of speck like little things on the back wall of the tank. As i looked closer one of them was a tiny baby snail... in a tiny shell... weird!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yup, I've had it happen to me. This will probably continue too! Interestingly, it seems most of them do not make it. What happens to them, I have no idea. Maybe eaten, but I'm not sure.

They are most likely little hitchhikers and not "babies" (( the name of them starts with a "c" but I always forget the rest of it )).

If they at all look like the following, than that is what they are.

Thats some of them... but i have one that is significantly larger than those and has an Astrea snail shell shape. Maybe i have both...
