What's your take on the Tonga stuff. I remember you said that they require cooler temps (74-76). Does that seem to be the case for only some of what is being brought in?

I got a frag from him as well, high quality coral!, and on his website he calls it "supergirl."

Did anyone else nab some of Ron's Supergirl monti?

Both Fiji and Tonga do best from 70 - 76. Gavin at PAF says he keeps his below 70 IIRC.

Yah, it's a case by case situation IMO. My look great at 76, but I have some of the same pieces in a tank that the person runs at 80. IMO it's best to break them into that type of temp though.

I really think it's a dual thing. One is temp, and the other is most are blasting them with too much light all together.

i bought a piece of the supergirl. have it midway in the tank , about the same height as the rainbow monti. pretty killer looking piece IMO

that piece was bought 3 months ago dull looking ,I have been keeping it right under a 400 watt helios metal halide for 2 months and after 2 weeks it started turning into the monti you see SUPER GIRL ...keep it high guys it will dull out in the middle
