Put funds to the side to try and do it right the first time lol. I thank all of you addicted stick heads for all your post it helps so much with planning and learning from others. Posting some pics of the build plumbing is done. Planning out the lighting rig, which will be 6 T5s and in the middle one kessil AP700. I wanted to stick with T5 as the majority of the lighting and supplementing with Leds. If I need to add another AP700 I can in the future. I have a large piece of shelf rockto go in the middle of the drains. More pics to come soon

Nice so far! Where did you get the "bonsai" aquascape? Will look great when filled in with SPS. I can picture just a few different mature colonies on each level filling in all the space.

I got them from this place http://westmariculture.com/store/index.php?rt=product/product&path=98&product_id=966

I love the look of a shelf reef and how the fish can swim under the colonies. I know it will look bare and odd at first but I'm looking forward to seeing the tank grown out I wish I had a peninsula tank because I think this would look great!

Well, got a few minutes to start on the lighting rig. I wanted to be able to change bulbs without taking the canopy off. So, installed drawer hardware.

I'm also a fan of maxima clams, so I picked up this beast at the Lfs. With my kids we have to name everything in the tank, so say hello to clamzilla lol. No kidding this thing I think weighs 5lbs.
