A few weeks ago I got a 75G tank from a friend who's moving to Europe. It's a plain tank, not drilled and somewhat messy but cycled with 9 fish and some soft corals including red mushrooms which are a real nuisance...any tips how to keep them in check appreciated, feels bad throwing away 20+ weekly.
Needless to say reefing in NYC isn't easy and moving even this tank was a logistical nightmare but I'm looking to upgrade and have been considering the Red Sea Reefer 350. The problem is the curb side delivery.. Local stores I've called don't seem to have good in apartment delivery options or charge outrageous amounts (one quoted me over $700 for in home delivery).
Has anyone out there successfully worked with a local fish store in NYC or a moving company you'd recommend (at a reasonable price)? I don't really need anyone to set it up - kind of want to do that on my own.
Would greatly appreciate any tips/advice. I'd post pictures but a bit embarrassed as this thing needs lots of work...many thanks!
