Back in the Saddle Again!! My new 480g In-Wall thread

sweet brent, but looks like all your sand is getting pushed back again. maybe you should jsut go BB.

Ya know what John, I have the benefit of no sand in the front, and when I mean a benefit I am refering to not having the problem of sand getting under my Great White algae magnet which may I mind you is going through 1-1/4" acrylic. But with my old tank I had a few times that happened to me and scratched the tank. But there is also a large amount of sand near the rear half of the tank which alows me to still have a habitat for those wrasses that need it. In my sump which is 150g has a large dsb in there, so I think I am reap the benefits of both worlds!!
I hope your new tank is doing well also, take care and tell your parents I said Hi!!

Wow. I'm sure you can't wait for those corals to grow up.

At least in my new tank I have mature corals, and I'm excited to coralline starting to gow on the rocks.

Nicole,
Same here.
I cooked all of my rock while setting up the system, so I was thrilled when I saw that some of the rock is starting to encrust with the pink coraline!!!

It is about time you change your current tank profile :D . You have earned it. I know, if you have time to work on your "creation", you have settled in to your new home and "everyone" is happy. Your family is supportive and it shows in your creativity. I still want to see what it looks like when you throw 4000gph through a sump. Let's see some pictures brotha....

Cheers,

Clint :p

I am just a lurking newbie but WOW that tank is amazing. My wife sees my face - looks at the screen then back at me and I can see she is afraid that I am being inspired. Now she is more supportive of me learning SUBCA this summer - its much cheaper and stays in the ocean!

Jejton,
It is an addicition as many SPS heads will attest to. BUt for me it is and will be a life time absession. I have been several complete crashes loosing tens of thousands of dollars in livestock, if you were to read any of my earlier threads I even lost my whole tank and livestock in a crash as I was moving here to Texas, hence the Back in the saddle title.... A true reefer gets back in the saddle and rides again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll have the room, but paying for college will eat up any reef project budget. :)

So true...sniff, sniff:(
