Back to the hobby!

Hello!

I am new to this forum, but not new to the hobby. I had a beautiful 55G reef tank 7ish years ago and I am now starting with a 40g IM Fusion. This time I am trying to do things better (even using RO/DI filter) that I was not using before.

I am sure I will learn and re-learn everything that I forgot about this hobby and will share pics and progress on my new 40G tank soon! :)

Here's some pictures of my old tank!

Welcome!

From your pics, which look great by the way, you should have no problem jumping back in. Lots have change in the 7 years, some good, some not so good. Do yourself a favor, stick to the basics that you know and that got your last tank looking so good. Don't be so fast to jump on the new hype with all the new methods.
I'm old school... automatic daily water changes, calcium reactor, UV, a good skimmer, and I run bare bottom. That's it! No crazy vodka dosing, no multiple bottles of additives that you can't test for, etc...
Remember the KISS method.... Keep It Simple Stupid!

Enjoy!
